In partnership with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Tacoma Public Schools- CTE Department, Tacoma Community College, and MetroParks Tacoma, Build 2 Lead LEGACY is fulfilling it's vision of providing BIPOC and Multicultural community members with immersive opportunities to build their GENERATIONAL GREATNESS!

During this two day experience we will provide an opportunity for youth and their families to engage with professionals from the healthcare industry while learning how to navigate the system, gain employment opportunities, and uplift their voices to achieve true healthcare equity.
Experiences include:
Day-1: This day will be focused on youth preferably in grades 10-12. Our partners will connect with professionals and healthcare providers in their organizations and networks to engage youth in topics and hands on experiences related to:
Mental Health and Wellness
Pathways to becoming a healthcare professional
The impact of self-care and spiritual maintenance
The benefits of culturally relevant therapy
Hands on work with Suture Kits, Blood Pressure Cuffs, and Much More
Live listening sessions around youth’s experience in healthcare
Day-2: We invite youth and their families to come and engage with employers and pre-apprentice and apprenticeship programs in the industry or healthcare.
