B2L Students attend "Imagine ME" Event!



In partnership with Virginia Mason Franciscan Healthcare of Seattle, Build 2 Lead visited the VMFH hospital on July 26th for a full day experience. Curated by VMFH staff and P.O.W.E.R Partner Najmah Messiah, students were able to immerse themselves in activities such as: 


  1. The Hyperbaric Chamber Experience

  2. Visiting the Benaroya Research Institute with a focus on isolating cells.

  3. Visiting the Operating Room (OR) with a focus on lung cancer screening strategies. 

  4. College and Career Readiness with a focus on pathway/pipeline development for BIPOC youth and young adults.
