Our B2L Legacy Initiative is establishing Restorative Practices Action Committees (RPAC) at our partner schools in the Federal Way Public School District and Washington State Charter Schools Association.
Build 2 Lead staff, school leaders, civic leaders and professionals are in the process of building accountability in the discipline processes for our partner schools and building community and institutional collaboratives that will strategically advocate for systematic shifts in discipline through a three-pronged approach. See the timeline below for more details on what actions are being taken to implement foundational systemic change within our schools:
Our RPAC (Restorative Practices Action Committees) and our YEC (Youth Executive Committee, student leaders from our "Civic Champions" Program) will join together to build solutions around restorative practices in schools.
Our first kick-off meetings happened on April 17th and 18th virtually. We are excited to announce our RPAC and YEC members next month!
